Gotta admit the man is modest about his work. I almost never hear a lot of lead singers say "I'm just 1/4th of this project." It almost makes you wanna take another look at all their songs. Cause I always did spend too much time just dwelling on their meanings.

I think it's awesome that Maynard is modest...it's so rare nowadays for the rich and famous not to inflate themselves. I think it's part of what makes them an awesome band!

Ha Maynard is WAY full of himself, that whole band has to be. I find the more intelligent and gifted someone is, the more likely they know it. That whole band is amazing, if they weren't and if they didn't know it, they would have disapated into shit long ago. It's nice he appreciates the other band members, as they deserve it, but you can't tell me the whole damn band isn't a little pretentious about their work. They deserve to be though, once again, geniuses get away with it.

i really dont think hes pretentious at all.. yeah they know thier talented but that dont make them a-holes or egotistical.. and i think that what iwtv means is that hes modest as far as TOOL goes.. he does not want to be a front man he sees him self as no more or less valuble then the rest of the band ..he is just another instrument...and that is rare compared to your average "axle rose"..p.s. yes TOOL do know they fucking own all the shit bands now .. thats definetly true... ;]
