I guess a positive in this current election is that progress for the past 100 years isn't down the drain.
Ron Paul 1914
Mike Gravel 2008
Hmmm... I like Paul ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
Hmmm... I like Paul. I would vote for him over any democrat. His policies and/or what he would do are much better than the Dem and Rep candidates.
Not me, he is a ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
Not me, he is a paleoconservative who would send America into an even worse state. There's a good reason Klansmen and Pat Buchanan supported him.
His policies are ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
His policies are very good. If you listen to him, he wants to still spend money at home (like social programs) and just cut the empire. He wants to "get us off a welfare state" but he knows he can't do it in 4-8 years. He has transition programs, all of which still fund domestic programs. No one said we would have to go through with everything he wants after he leaves. Besides, he couldn't do all of that as President anyway. All he could do is end the empire and the war.
Paul is much better ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
Paul is much better than any Democrat. His platform, at least while he would be in office would actually save domestic programs. The Empire Dems would just contribute to our military and domestic downfall. The rest is just guilt by association.
I don't like the ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
I don't like the dems, but it doesn't mean I like Ron Paul. Show me where he would save Domestic programs, and how they wouldn't be on the road of disappearing under his administration. He's a free market losertarian after all, so I am skeptical.
Which policies? ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
Which policies? Sure he's anti war, but so what? He wants to appeal the fourteenth amendment, wants more of that state rights horse shit, is a free market capitalist (not a good idea!), and is supported by conspiracy theorists (9-11 truther JEWS DID IT type people) and bigoted extremists (KLANSMEN support, Randy Gray was part of his campaign, and the support of Neo Confederates)
Man he has said it ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
Man he has said it tons of times. It is somewhere in these interviews. I am surprised you haven't come across it. watch?v=CA7jHaowNME watch?v=uBuvhbZh0ns
Tirade, he can't do ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
Tirade, he can't do all of that on his own. The 14th amendment part he wants to appeal is birthright citizenship and that is only for those who have two parents who didn't come into the US legally. You are just giving guilt by association; Ron Paul is not a racist. Not all truthers believe Jews did it and not even most of his followers believe it was done by the US government. That is the Alex Jones Wing, at least they picked a decent candidate to support.
I'll watch them. ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
I'll watch them.
Guilt by ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
Guilt by association? Hardly, since Randy Gray was an active member of his campaign, and is a Klansmen. Let's also not forget those newsletters of his (oh wait, he didn't know about them right? Sure is a real sign of his competence level). The jew part was sarcasm, but 9-11 truthers are all retarded, whether it be jews, the government, or the reptilian "elite". And the fact that Ron Paul has the uncompromising support of Alex Jones should be an issue of concern. And if it isn't birthright
citizenship, then ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
citizenship, then how do we determine who gets to be "real American's" then. Will we just let white families get a pass? I am honestly asking you, because I am curious.
No, anyone that has ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
No, anyone that has at least one parent in the US who is legal would be a citizen who went through the process. Just white people?Come on, that is just nonsense talking points. The letters are a problem and show lack of oversight but he didn't write them and if you have listened to him you would know those are not his policies. All of these are smokescreens and aren't concentrated on the dire polices that we need.
Um...how could he ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
Um...how could he not know for years that those were in the newsletters? You sure it's no coincidence racists are attracted to Ron Paul like flies are to shit?
Paul has remarkable ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
Paul has remarkable character and it is amazing that people could and would bash him with slander as well as guilt by association as they have even if they don't agree with him.
I bash him because ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
I bash him because of the PaulTards and the fact I disagree with his politics. And just "saying" he has remarkable character doesn't mean anything. I think his newsletters "and his squirrelly attitude towards them" and his association with klansmen "Randy Gray, who I have brought up" show his lack of character. Even if he's not racist, it shows he has no problem getting their support.
It also doesn't ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
It also doesn't change the fact I still disagree with his economic stances and state rights nonsense.
Oh please, are you ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
Oh please, are you honestly telling me to accept the fact that he didn't know what was going on in his newspapers? That is incompetence to an epic proportion. "Lack of oversight" is a jack off exaggeration to his level of incompetence if we are to accept he didn't write them. What "dire" policies, other than ending the war? If it's just ending the war, that's security over freedom.
He has remarkable ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
He has remarkable character because he helped people for free when he was a doctor and actually lives by the principles that he believes like not letting his kids take college loans, getting a Congressional pension, didn't take Medicaid from his patients but treated them for free, etc. If you even listen to him he states that he believes we all have rights as individuals not because we are minorities or gays or anything else.
He is opposed to ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
He is opposed to racism and not allowing gays to marry. When people say or comment that he is a Nazi that is slander/libel. None of it is true. If one criticizes him for lack of oversight then that if find but those are not his policies. Whoever says that is a lair. Those are not the policies he advocates.
I do too but like I ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
I do too but like I said he can't do that on his own and he will continue domestic programs when he is President because he knows he can't do it alone without the Congress and it requires more time to make drastic changes like that then 4-8 years. If we do not cut foreign spending their will be no domestic programs.
Tirade, you aren't ... ( 7 months ago by overmind25)
Tirade, you aren't giving him a fair shake. Newsletters that he doesn't agree and has repudiated mean horseshit. We have people dying, our tax dollars are being wasted, and yes he is for liberty. He believes we all have rights as individuals whether we are gay, straights, black, hispanics, etc.
When has he ever ... ( 7 months ago by TiradeFaction)
When has he ever advocated creating a federal law (He'd be president after all) that would protect the right for gays to marry? He seems to want to let states decide, which would not be opposed to not allowing gays to marry. He may very well be opposed to racism, it doesn't change the fact that racists and other bigots make up a huge portion of his campaign, like I said many times, Randy Gray. This seems to be getting nowhere though, so I'll end it for now, still love the videos. *Kiss*
Exactly right! ... ( 2 months ago by medliberty)
Exactly right! insurance company overhead costs $300 billion/year, a cost which could easily be reduced or eliminated under a VA style system. Take insurance companies out of the picture and things will improve dramatically, quickly. Its a powerful lobby which has bought off to many politicians so I dont look for that to happen soon.
