Absolutely correct. I hate how all youngsters dismiss them for more technical Death,Black,thrash,Doom,whatever, metal not realizing that Slayer invented this shit. Metal changed forever once they came on the scene. Kill em' all was weak as fuck compared to show no mercy. And then Hell Awaits came ... OMFG All Hail Slayer

I agree next to Hell Awaits this album is unbelieveable. Bostaph claims to hate the drum sound but I've always thought it was quite good. I mean...to come in and try to make people forget about Lombardo is rediculous but I think he did an admirable job. They are both great skinsman

show no mercy was a decent album, hell awaits and reign in blood cemented them in thrash history. But Kill em ALL was an insane thrash album. Don;t shit on Metallica because they had the balls to make the Black Album.

they showed balls by writing shorter more structured songs that were good. Most of the songs on that album are very well put together. Just because their aren't blast beats and 240 bpm double bass patterns don't make it a bad album.

Live intrusion was the best slayer's video! The footage is excellent (camera into the pit which swims in a sea composed of legs,arms ...).Fans totally crazy!Divine intervention tour is my favorite period the more aggressive!Compared to this, footages on other slayer's video are boring( still reigning,war at the w. ...)

Agreed. Plus, if you look at album sales, Slayer can't even come close. People can call Metallica sell-outs all they want, but people like that are scared of change. Whats more of a sell-out, someone who wants to be part of the "norm" so they won't get ridiculed, or the person that conforms to the "non-norm" because they don't want to be ridiculed by them?

The Black Album is a solid metal record. Some real good songs on that album. It propelled them into a super sucessful band. They toured for like 3 plus years on that album. No band in their prime can play that period of time and play 2 1/2 hr shows every night.

im a metallica/slayer fan and i love all metallica album but load,reload suck a little bit because it not metal.. but they are back with st.anger (no solo i know... but the double bass drum and the riff was fucking good!) and death magnetic going to kick our ass!!! SLAYER AND METALLICA FUCKING RULZ!!!!! btw:judas priest suck!! its not metal!

I agree with you my metalhead friend \m/ Show No Mercy is fucking awesome and better than Kill 'EM All, although Kill 'EM ALL is a great album too.
