Damn, these guys were good- for a rather heavy band, they sure were fascinated with vocal harmonies (and pulled them off well throughout their career). Layne Staley is great- that voice has some real power behind it, especially in the middle breakdown part of this live vid. Too bad what happened to him- he had a lot going for him. Stay away from the junk, kids- your life WILL be ruined messing with that stuff. RIP Layne

No one in the grunge era matched these guys. Period. I care not about the fanatical Nirvana following, Cobain had nothing on AIC. Still the best grunge ever heard.

Layne is probably my favorite singer EVER. Im 22 now and i remember the haunting sound of Alice from back when i was a kid and then i really started getting into them when i was like 14. No one and i mean NO ONE can match layne in terms of power and subtlety dynamics. Sometimes his loudest vocals were his softest.
