1988 founded Xysma, was the first ever Grindcore band to come from Finland. On their first demo 89' "Swarming of the Maggots", they pretty much copied the style of Carcass and Napalm Death. In their first EP 90' "Above the Mind of Morbidity", they engaged the more Death metal oriented way, still using much Grindcore influences. 1991 released "Yeah" was their debut release and the first Death 'n' Roll release , although the style-inventer's title was later granted to more famous band, Entombed in 93'. Till this album, they had left their slimy Grindcore and Death metal days back . . . partly. Their style on this album, was mixing the old Black Sabbath heavy/doom metal riffs, some death metal riffs and the vicious Grinding of drums. This is the opening track, of the FIRST EVER DEATH 'N' ROLL RELEASE. My fav DM albums. I warmly also recommend the next album "the First and Magical".

Livenä näin Lutakossa joskus, tyylikäs bändi, etenkin Janitor. Nimeomaan tämä rokkaavuus, kuitenkin Carcass/grindcore vaikutteet, hyvin kestänyt aikaa, kyllä tätä kuuntelee vieläkin.
