He is talking about Lavey satanism. They do not believe in satan as a being, but an expression of revolt against the teachings of the catholic church. Satan for them is a symbol of doing what you like and not following any rules.

Okay, but I'm talking about satan worshipping and not Lavey satanism. I know that they are two different things and I think that those guys like gaahl ain't supporters of Lavey satanism 'cos there is one rule in Lavey satanism that they don't accept any kind of violence but only in vengeance operations and I think that many of those norwegian black metallers make violence and burn churches even anybody hasn't make them anything bad.

i think it's more political than religious it seems of what they mean by satan and the symbolism of the goat breaking from the flock. but alot of what people like gaahl seem speak about seems to be more along individualist anarchism a la max stirner and some neitzche( it's late no spell check. lol) i think much of norwegian black metal is more about spinning the table on away from society 180 degrees rather than the church of satanism.
