They would nulify their contracts. They both know that for insurance purposes and contract clauses, that they cannot get into a physical altercation outside of a signed fight. Josh did have a guy come into the gym where he was training, wanting to fight him. Josh made the guy sign a waiver first so he could not come back and sue him or the UFC-then Josh gave the man what he wanted- a fight. Josh showed this guy who was the true fighter and who was not. There are legality issues.

I assure you that it was not for publicity. Diego told others before the weigh ins that he was going to hit Josh or do something. Josh caught wind of it and was expecting Diego to try something. Josh is a class act and he does his fighting in the octagon.
