I suppose. But it's not so much that other people's beliefs bother me (I don't care), so much as many feel the need to impose those beliefs on others, and that throughout history they have inibited the search for knowledge, which is very dangerous for the long term survival of the species.

I appreciate that. There's exactly the same amount of data to support the belief that purple elephants farted the universe into existence, yet people feel compelled to insinuate Chrisianity into the laws of a free country, and have the audacity to judge others for not sharing that belief. In fact, that judgement is inherent in the religion itself: believe what we do, or you're damned. The *nerve* of that philosophy astounds me.
