I was born in the 1974, and in Rome the toon was on Tv when I was 12-13 (1985-1986, maybe). I remeber it though it wasn't transmitted again later...The opening was one of the few in original!

One question for all American friends: I read that Miles Mayhem had an English accent in the Us version of the toon; is it true? In Rome, that guy had no accent (just a little gruff voice, but it was the dubber). When I was a kid, named that guy "Stalin".
