I'm a Ron Paul supporter. I've voted for him. I've donated to him. I also like Huckabee. I dont agree with him on everything, but I'll take him over Romney or McCain. When Ron Paul talks at the debates and McCain and Romney start laughing no matter what he's saying, Huckabee actually listens, even if he disagrees. Ending the IRS is a step, even if the FairTax takes its place, its BETTER than what we currently have, even Ron Paul agrees. I would hope if Huckabee won, he found a place for Paul.

Does no one realize that the reason we have nice things is because of taxes, I would love to see these two explain how they are going to fund their mega militaries without them..... Get real there are two certainties in life, death and taxes. I don't like them more than anyone else but I'm a realist.

You dumb idiot, thats the point of the FairTax. Replace not JUST the income tax but the whole tax structure with a 26%(?) FairTax. The whole idea is that THEN you make the argument for increasing or decreasing the tax. Its a seperate argument. Jeeez I'm a Ron Paul supporter too but too many of you guys and his supporters are just fucking dumb.

Actually the income tax goes to pay the interest from borrowing from the federal reserve. a majority of services that come from taxes are actually your state taxes and other fees. They are not saying do away with taxes, rather just the income tax:) We are actually funding our mega military by borrowing and overspending.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but I still have a problem with destroying the IRS, I'm not in favor of it by any means, but a flat tax wouldn't work, call me a commie pinko but, I would like to see an agency that can give back to the lower and middle class, without giving massive breaks to the rich, oh god, set myself up there! Furthermore, wouldn't the revenue from a flat tax just go back to paying the interest to the federal reserve, therefore defeating the pupose, keep in mind I'm no plitician.

You aren't commie unless you truly believe somehow the government is responsible for prosperity. Farthest from the truth. Eliminating the IRS would only help us get back to the point where a father can earn enough to support an entire family instead of working through may to satisfy the tax man.
