The 2nd Music Video of Boracay indie artist, Armand Tajanlangit.
This time, Armand goes further into the mystical side of the island, attempting to capture the raw emotions of one soul searching in Boracay.
Featuring Fire-dancer Mariya of Boracay, and the Israeli fire-dancers
This Boracay original song explores the mysticism and spirituality behind the art form called fire dancing - a popular activity on the white beach. Fire-dancers of different nationalities have awed the islanders since the 1970's.
This song is a tribue to one of the best fire dancers Boracay has seen - Sean Taylor - who has traveled the globe spreading his fire.
He has found his way to the white beach in 2004 and did fire dancing and drumbeating rituals by the beach right after every sunset. He eventually was recruited to join the Boracay Republic (Armand's band), both as a Djiembe player and fire-dancer, by Armand Tajanlangit.
This song was performed live at the white beach, with lights out, while Sean worked the blazing fire-stick surrounded by their audience.
He continued his world tour four months after in Europe.
The Aeta children's choir of Boracay sang the chants on the background. "Damag" means fire in their native dialect. The La Carlota Drumbeaters of Negros Island provided the percussions.
