that's Paul D'amour their original bassist. they got Justin Chancellor at the early or mid 90's when he was still with Peach correct me if I'm wrong...both solid bass players.

That is a great point "meconstrue". I have never looked at it fromt the viewpoint that the song could posibly be talking about priests. In all reality, the song's meaning is up to however one my interpet it. I do like you thought about the song though. Most of those dirty Catholic priests enjoy raping little kis. Wow! Their actions convince me that their religion is real (sarcastic tone if you did not pick up)!

This is the show where MJK threatened to have a riot wasn't it? I read somewhere that a man threatened him, and revealed a gun he had in his waist band, and MJK threatened to have a riot. Those were quotes from the band. Huntington were you at this particular concert?

Are you certain about that? Because unless MJK baaaeed at more than one concert that was on Scientology grounds, just before singing "Opiate", then this had to be this particular concert in which he was threatened with a gun. And in return MJK threatened a riot. I got all of this information from direct quotes from the band and seems to match up perfect with this concert. TOOL would not play at too many venues owned by Scientologists, being that L. Ron Hubbard is very hated by the band.

i know what you mean man. it's not that i feel that maynard is really old nowadays, but soon he will be. he'll be old like ozzy. he'll grow weaker and weaker but maybe wiser. But still, i never want him to grow old. never want to see him weak. i think i'm over reacting but that's how i love maynard..i hope we can just go back in time and never grow old again..

Yeah, I agree. When I see maynard play undertow songs today, he just doesn't bring as much energy as he did back then. Don't get me wrong, he still kicks ass, but he's starting to become a typical rock star character which is what he was always against back then.

MJK, along with the rest of TOOL, are anything but your typical rock stars, which ya'll have accused them of being. Yes, they have aged, and that same anger from the earlier albums is no longer there. MJK attributes that to the fact of him healing from his on art work, and the pissed off MJK is a thing of the past. However, TOOL has always poured their heart and soul in their artwork and that is obvious from their albums. Their work is anything but main-stream rock and TOOL won't conform to that
