I agree. Metalcore is being oversaturated like the way pop metal was in the '80s. The fact that the lead singer of Killswitch predicted its demise is a sign. I've noticed that Trivium, Bullet and Avenged have tried to escape the metalcore tag. Personally, I think there's a way pop metal can be done now without sounding gay i.e. doing something which is melodic but in a way that doesn't sound commercial but whilst having a more heavier sound than something like Warrant and Poison.

I think you are wrong. Thrash has almost died, no many bands left: many turned to Groove, Death, Black, many got disolved, many grow old. I'm a big fan of Metallica, I like ALL their albums, but I don't think that their latest jobs have been Thrash (except DEATH MAGNETIC, I note it kind of fast). What is needed is a New Wave Of Worldwide Thrash Metal Or maybe this have been Thrash Metal's destiny: evolve into other types (hope not!!)
