Moron. Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax all simultaneously created Thrash Metal. They're all great bands. They each have their own unique style. Metallica being the complex, progressive/melodic, Slayer, the dark horror inspired speed demons(no pun intended), Megadeth being the highly technical ones, and Anthrax being the punkish catchy band.

Technically Metallica started Thrash, circa 1981 (first record cut in 1982). Slayer really didn't get going until very late 1983. Megadeth was even later in 1984. Yes, the bands started about the same time, but Metallica hit the "world" first by about a year.
