| The big difference is the rhythmic patterns. Metallica's lie mostly in subtlety, whereas Slayer has very fast paced and direct changes. It's a little more original, but it has a clunky-feeling rhythm setup. Also, the vocals are significantly different. Tom is much gravelier than James. |
