Zakk doesn't just steal the music of Randy and Tony. He steals it, then shits all over it with his stupid pinch harmonics and wahwah shit. He may be a good player, but his sound is terrible and his style of playing gets boring after 10 minutes.

He did play the drums on all his solo albums, not to mention on many songs live with Genesis and special participations in events like this one and the Phil Collins Big Band in Montreux; so he remained a drummer in addition to the rest of his career, albeit not full-time. All is not lost! ;-)
