The song was written for a film first actually. A 14 year old kid wrote the lyrics to this song. Apparently the Manic Street Preachers felt some empathy with the lyrics or else I doubt they'd have covered it. Every thing anyone writes has been recycled, every word has been used already. They put energy into this song.
