You're correct about metal on Swedish television. I hosted this television show for several years that aired the enitre Hultsfred festival (three full days) live on television with unninterupted concerts (commercial breaks only between concerts). Also, the Iron Maiden show you mention was not only a live metal concert on prime time (friday around 9 pm) but a live broadcast feed directly from the show in Gothenburg the same night.
