Some addictions start long before a person has to deal with something. Even in the womb...If someones mother used anything: coffee, cigarettes, weed, alcahol, crack, pills, heroin, minerals, nutrients, micronutrients, chocolate, tea, sugar......whatever.....your mind and body thinks it needs it.

ps i like the scarf also.its nice to hear you talk.ok but why are you stoping the caffeene is it such a bad thing?I mean there are worse things is it a health or spiritual decision?

Food addiction has been like that for me. I still struggle with it every day. Know what you mean about those caffeine pills-i used them (amongst other things) to stay awake to write essays-and they gave me palpitations and generally made me feel like shit.

I've fought with drug addiction, I'm thank ful to say I'm clean now..However I do take benadryll everynight .. So actually, I guess if I'm honest, I'm not clean! Really, as far as chemicals, its the meds that my doc has prescribed ....

And it's the benadryll..I would really like to sleep without taking anything. "Triggers" is the key word..! I'm a musician, and triggers are around often, like the phrase you hear in NA, or AA, "people, places and things" ..

I plan on doing a vid response to this and hope I don't forget, but earlier this month I finally decided to quit buying coffee and went through a hellish 5 day withdrawal with heavy migraines. It's been 3 weeks now and I feel so much better... not as energetic, but so much better.

Amanda, Big hug to you sister! Im trying to quit caffeine as well. Ive had my run with drugs as well and still use pot as a bridge. Ive had 21 hip surgeries and have gone from methadone to now only marijuana. Gone from walking with a cane......to no cane. I also truly believe my mind has put me in so many of these positions.

well, it sux about your relapse. on a more positive note CONGRATS on puitting smoking. ive never smoked, but my sis is soooo addicted and will probly never quit, despite bing sik. i try to quit caff evry week and relapse :C boohoo

thanks about the scarf :-) I quit because I am compulsive and a few cups of coffee isn't enough for me...I always end up taking upto 6-7 caffeine pills a day and it wears me out and I hate feeling so yucky and dependant. I would just like to be okay feeling how I naturally feel.

Caffeine I have found to be the hardest drug to give up. The only way I found to beat it was to read all food labels and cut out any food type ending in or containing the letters in order that are in caffeine. I.E ine, eine feine, fei, aff, .. and so on. That did the trick. Chocolate is a big key too. Tea contains it!

im addicted to vicodin, oxycodone and morphine so quit your bitching! i cannot believe you compare caffeine to drugs and alcohol. caffeine doesnt ruin your life. i spend every dollar on drugs! drink a fucking coffee and get on with your day. i cant get out of bed in the morning!
