Gary Moore. He's a blues/rock guitarist and has played with thin lizzy. If you listen to his solo albums( which are blues) you'll see he's a wonderful guitarist. Just listen to Still Got The Blues, his version of Don't believe a word, Parissiene Walkways, Oh pretty woman and other stuff

Yes, Gary is great. I am not a big fan of his and I don't like him that much. I too really don't get any connection with his music and style, but I do appreciate his talent and work.
My teritory are much more guys as Jimi Hendrix, SRV, The 3 Kings, Robert Johnson, Buddy Guy, Duane Allman, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Angus Young, etc...

Ok Stevie is a great player but Jimi Hendrix I don t think that a Texas Flood or Pride and Joy( and that is one of my favourite songs) have the same feeling of a Voodoo child or a Red House ecc.... Stevie could be more tecnique that Jimi but if Stevie did in his music what already other people did: The Blues, Jimi was a pioner searching new kind of music: hey Joe and hey baby are two copletely different songs from the same musician: without Jimi there won t be a Stevie Ray vaughan for me

I do have to say that Jimi Hendrix is the best and #1, but SRV is #2, by far second best of all time.
Nobody has such soul, passion, tone, feel, precision, strength and talent as SRV.
SRV is a god and a legend.
Jimi is certainly #1, but SRV comes right after him.

SRV had no where close the imagination Jimi had, no one ever will. SRV is waayyyy to predictable, has almost the same tone for every song, and has only brief moments of brillance live.

That is probably the most stupidest comment I heard on Youtube lately.
You seriously don't know what you are talking about wise guy.
Yes, Jimi Hendrix is the best, but to say that SRV was predictable, always had the same tone and that he had only brief moments of brilliance live is bullshit and all wrong.
SRV was a tone fanatic, and has the best strat tone ever, hands down.
Also, SRV never played a song same way twice, so again your predictable thing is wrong and he was always brilliant.

I expect nothing less from a SRV fanatic.
For all of your ... ( 1 week ago by DonnieDarko727)
For all of your self proclaimed "truths", give some examples how SRV had such great tone, show me some songs where he sounds drastically different, and not just the cop out of using an octavia a la Hendrix or a wah, big deal. THere's music before Hendrix and music after Hendrix, nuff said. SRV copied a lot from Hendrix, and not just him, lots of others, will success. Just admit it.
