He has great vibration in his voice, it's beautiful. I'm so glad that the years of growling hasn't taken it out on his natural voice.
Maybe a change is coming, Watershed had less agression in it, it was mainly mellow songs. I love both sides of Opeth though, they're the best at soft and heavy in the same song.

While listening to different Cds I've come to the conclusion that in every song there's more than the song, I know the writer does not intend to let fans know whats behind the song, still I feel. not exactly what he felt while writing it of course

Two sides, as in growling and softer natural songs, some have both in, which they're best at.
Such as Reverie/Harlequin forest. Bands such as Children of Bodom say, just scream (except the stupid covers of pop songs)
I'm just saying, I love how diverse Opeth are, they're not afraid to do what they want, rather than tie themselves down to their predominant roots.

Just that you know, I wasn't attacking you hmke, I agree with what you say. COB. hmz. not only screams, musically I find them rather nice. but I guess thats just the skills, I do not find their music a lot interesting, it's always about the same thing.
I like the poetry within Opeth. a diverse and nice combination of everything. Like black rose immortal, at first the song sounded a bit rough, but after listening som times I find that it is a great song.
