jailbreaking is actually intendd to allow the user a way to download free and very useful applications by third party developers that cant be found anywhere without jailbreaking. To change to a carrier other than at&t, that is called unlocking. Im not too certain on this but im not sure is available yet for 2.0 or 3g phones. Unlocking is available for 1.1.4 phones tho. U might already know all this but i hope i helped.

ay mate..i fixed it...it works now..i had to restore it then do the whole thing again...the only different thing is i put the thing on the last tab all the way to the end...n then it worked and the reception worked n everything
