I am an Obama supporting liberal. A song like this was no less insulting 45 years ago than it is today. The difference is is that there were not enough Muslims or Arabs or politically motivated people in the country back then to raise hell about this song. By 1962, you couldn't have made a song about a water-melon eating, crap-shooting negro the way they'd done twenty-five years earlier.
That said, I enjoyed this song. But I was only 11 years old.

There is freedom of speech. There should be. There are somethings that are offensive. Probably should be.

When he does his imitation of an Arabian during the song, it's pretty accurate. After all, that's exactly what they sound like when they're burning our flag in their streets.
Those of you who are offended by this need to get a life and get over yourselves as well. The song was made during a much more innocent time, and thus, was made without any kind of malice. To be offedned by it is just plain silly. Change your diaper and grow up.

You know of course half the defense industries of the US get this money back and employ a lot of people. Some of the best bombs we use on the Rag Heads are Israeli designs made in the US. The money doesn't go to buy French hoes and gold toilet seats like the oil companies are sucking out of us and handling over the the Arabs. Israelis are Jews but not Yids . Trust me,I have dealt with both kinds. They get disillsioned when they come here and see American Jews up close for the first time.
