oh! and wait. This music is adictive. Me too, since I've found all these post rock bands, that's all I listen to now. EITS and Red Sparrowes are so far my 2 favs bands. But then again, I've just satarted, so I wouldn't be surprides that by the end of the year that list would be in the double digits.

I too found EITS totally by accident....and now i'm hooked! Not heard of Red Sparrowes, will check them out! But in return...have you heard of This Will Destroy You? They're now my 2nd fave band after EITS...you might want to check them out.

Gotta love This Will Destroy You. I havent heard of Red Sparrowes either, but will check them out. There's an epic ambient/instrumental band from Des Moines called The Autumn Project, i recommend those guys too. They're not on YouTube but they have a website and myspace.

singing is so overrated. the only reason people "need" singing is so they can sing along to something. mostsingers are prima donna douchebags anyway. they think they are above the music which, from a guitarist's standpoint is bullshit. without the music you, have no song. acapella is not as popular or as good as instrumentals

i didn't say signing is bad, just that it's overrated. because i listen to a lot of instrumental bands and people i know start flipping out that there is no singing and close their minds to it because there is no singing. i can appreciate great singing. doo wop acapella is great. i just get annoyed when people can't appreciate music like explosions in the sky, which is amazing and very beautiful, just because there is no singing.

I was introduced to them a while back, and ever since, i dont have the need to listen to something with vocals. i used to only listen to music where the song had a meaning. but now i just put my headphones in and listen to them all day. their song titles make you think, right along with the music. they have a song for every mood. when music makes time slow down, and you just see everyone, but feel as if they cant see you, you know you have found a good band.
