I remember going with my father to a church in down town London, I had given up on church by then but not on a contract. And one time I took a friend from college.
His sermons were brilliant. Put the prophets to shame.
And it fascinated me that when he was finished with his brilliance, he put a basket on his head and in 2 minutes did what someone did to Eccliesiwhatever.
Because this and this, worship God.
And I saw him that day for the first time in my life face to face and he knew what I was.
And was kind enough to keep it to himself.
And I had a point coming in here.
Oh. Of course, for me, it was like he was talking to me and my friend and even my dad. And it didn't matter if he claimed to be a preacher. I understood he was talking to me.
Not unlike what Brian told me on the mountain.
"You are going to need 20 years to get there."
I took 25.
For two reasons.
Bullshit. For a million reasons. I love reason as much as instinct.
For they are a happy couple.
And, before we get back to Ludicrous Luke, we've all, or many, have heard the question:
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there does it make a sound.
Technically, the event takes place which we call sound. But the meaning to it is missing. But the question might make more sense if we ask:
If a younieverse has no life in it, who's gonna care.
No one is going to anything.
And there are other real reasons why a universe with life is better fit than one without.
And we won't get into it. Here. Now.
I'll flip out instead over Ludicrous Luke.
He says Jesus says and he's a lier like I said before, a poor person who gives their money to a church is stupid in the eyes of the Lord. The poor giving to the rich ain't a good system.
I'm having trouble believing people believe a book. A hard core, fantasy, children's book. It you aren't being torture, please let the bloody thing go.
Religion is there to have a powerful symbol for a flag when you go kill someone with a less powerful symbol, icon on their flag.
We must drop religion because it is killing us. Luke gives us the run down on all the bad things coming to the Jews.
vs. 20: "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you will know that she will soon be destroyed." End Quote.
No fooling. And as we piss around trying to figure out whose fairy tale is better, the armies are always around Jerusalem. Moses declared eternal war and the assholes in charge made the tyrant to religion.
Which tells me that Jewish leaders are assholes.
That can't be said because 6 million died in a war.
Asshole. Asshole. Asshole.
And, not to be unfair. Every leader on the planet who takes religion into the senate or government or dictatorship.
Is either a lieing prick or a ignorant prick.
And that, as brutal as it may sound to those having spent millions of lives for absolutely no real reason at all.
Well, it sucks. I know, I've been there.
But if we know. We can acknowledge that we have been fools and idiots for, in real reality, only a few thousand years.
Which, in evolution, ain't much.
So let's not sweat it; we fucked up as a species.
And now we do it better.
And please people. Strange things do not happen to the sun or moon. Or stars.
Humans are likely the only real strange thing.
And salvation will not come from the sky in any other form than high speed rock or ice.
And all words. All everything, will eventually pass away.
And when life finds another universe, the words will all have to be written again.
"Holy cow. We are here."
"What's a cow."
Anyhow. Jesus seems to be in the temple every day. And that would be Jewish. Or what.
Learn to interpret words.
The truth be known. I am full of rage and only with the understanding that it would not help anyone do I not blow up all the bloody sacred constructions that protect and propigate lies.
