Ha, vampires don't exist. And, though you're close, not Hungary. Slovakian. Elizabeth Bathory is my favorite historical figure, not too sure why. But Slovakian. Murdered virgin teenage girls, bathed in their blood, for her black magic witch friend said virgin teen blood would purify her, making her look younger. She also never had mirrors in her house, and no one is sure how her husband died, some say grew ill, others say hooker killed him, and others say died in battle

I understand where you are coming from, as Countess Elizabeth Bathory did reside in Cachtice Castle in Slovakia. However, there were no royalty in Slovakia of Slovakian blood during the 1500's, as the country was under Hungarian rule from around 1,000 A.D. to the time of World War II. So, I am sorry to say this, but Elizabeth Bathory was indeed a Hungarian. :(

Many members of royalty were Slovakians but they were opressed and forced to accept Hungarian names..You really think that all the royalty in Slovakia traveled here from Hungary and got a castle here or what? Well that was ruler of Great Moravia or what is it's name in english..I am just saying that there were many slovak people who were basicaly forced to accept magyar names...and some of them were also royalty, some of them were writers etc.

Basicaly they were, and the Great Moravian Empire could be the first Czechoslovak empire or what. It occupied among others the territory of today's Slovakia and Czechia so it was basicaly the same...the people weren't divided into Slovaks and Czechs..Or at least I think so.
