Although they are two totally different genres, its very ignorant for Wargazm to think that they have more talent then Trivium everyone has thier own opinions, so some people will like a band, some will hate it. its just what happens Personally The Crusade was crap, Ascendency was better, guitar wise and technical wise If Wargazm is soo much more talented then trivium, then wouldn't they too be signed as early as Trivium did? Just because it came out in 2003 doesn't really mean shit.... I think it's pretty well established that I'm not a fan of that sort of metal, I wasn't even aware of the bands existence until 2005. Besides, that riff was influenced more by Machine Heads'Imperium' and Old In Flames stuff.

To me, it sounds like "Skin After Skin" by Soilwork (the part after the break in the middle). The point is that that style has been reused and reused and reused so many times that it's getting boring. At least it was semi-original when Soilwork used it, but now all these metalcore bands are just regurgitating the same garbage and not adding anything new- Trivium included.

Wargazm win. Trivium are just a few scene kids trying to stay popular by changing their style every fucking album to stay with what's current. Hence, the first album was shouting and no riffs; just palm-muted power chords that sound more like someone's just punching the strings. Yes, they can be useful, but making an entire fucking song out of them? Stupid. Wargasm are a joke band (Dave said it himself) and far more musically skilled. Palm-muted power chords don't require any talent.
